Underestimating in thought, frequent accidents occur
Underestimating the importance of maintenance leads to frequent accidents. Agricultural transport vehicles have a simple structure, slow speed, and mostly travel on rural roads with few people. Therefore, it is mistakenly believed that these vehicles do not require careful maintenance and operation. They can be used with faults, and speeding, overloading, and carrying too many passengers are common practices. However, due to their simple structure, their driving performance is not as sensitive, complete, and reliable as that of cars.
Inadequate break-in leads to reduced lifespan. Some agricultural machine operators mistakenly believe that the break-in period is unnecessary. As a result, after purchasing a new vehicle or after major repairs, they either do not break it in at all or only run it a few laps carelessly before rushing to use it. This results in rapid wear of machine parts, increased faults, decreased efficiency, and may even lead to serious accidents.
Irregular lubrication accelerates wear. The lubrication of various parts of the machine cannot be performed on time or by section; some lubrication points that do not immediately show faults are often neglected. Over time, this leads to significant issues. For example, serious mechanical accidents have frequently occurred due to the failure to lubricate parts like the oil pan and air filter on time and in sufficient quantity.
Using the same oil regardless of season increases faults. Some agricultural machine operators use the same type of lubricant oil regardless of winter or summer. This is not only uneconomical but can also prevent effective lubrication of the machinery. I once encountered an operator whose vehicle always had difficulty starting. Upon inspection, there were no faults in the valve timing or fuel systems. It was later found that it was difficult to start in winter but easier in spring and summer; it started easily when warm but was hard when cold. The problem was that he continued to use summer oil in winter, which had a high viscosity and caused greater resistance, making it difficult for the import pump valve to start.
Incorrect operation damages machine parts. Some agricultural machine operators tend to use excessive force when manipulating the gear lever for fear of not engaging the gear properly, resulting in damage to machine parts and causing accidents. Excessive braking force can easily damage components or cause brake failure; if the clutch pedal is not fully pressed down, disengagement is unclear and can damage gears; failing to release the throttle before braking; using hand brakes as emergency brakes.
