When selecting agricultural machinery oil, follow the 'three don'ts'.
Author:
Do not use agricultural machinery engine oil as a substitute for agricultural machinery gear oil.
1. Do not use agricultural machinery engine oil as a substitute for agricultural machinery gear oil. Compared to gear oil, it has lower viscosity, weaker wear resistance, and load-bearing capacity. If agricultural machinery engine oil is used instead of gear oil, the transmission gears will not receive adequate lubrication, leading to severe wear of the transmission system gears.
2. Do not use agricultural machinery engine oil as a substitute for agricultural machinery brake fluid. Brake fluid has good solubility, is non-corrosive, and does not easily produce sediment, while agricultural machinery engine oil does not have these characteristics. If used instead of brake fluid, it can easily produce sediment and cause the rubber components in the braking system to swell, leading to brake failure.
3. Do not use agricultural machinery kerosene as a substitute for agricultural machinery diesel. Agricultural machinery kerosene has lower viscosity and a higher flash point compared to diesel. If agricultural machinery kerosene is used instead of diesel, the diesel engine will not only have difficulty starting but will also lead to increased wear on the cylinder and piston.
